The 2020 Range Rover Sport is
an exciting luxury SUV. It features high-end style, lots of power under
the hood, and a drivetrain designed for all sorts of conditions in
Florham Park and Franklin Lakes. It's a great choice for both drivers
and families in Parsippany, Mendham, and Morristown, NJ.
Just how efficient is it, though? The team at Land Rover Parsippany finds out. We took a closer look at the 2020 Range Rover Sport MPG, so you'll know what it's capable of.
Range Rover Sport Fuel Economy
The 2020 Range Rover Sport offers a series of powerful and efficient engines. Between its turbo diesel engine and a couple supercharged powertrains, you'll always be able to enjoy good fuel economy. The most efficient option is a 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel engine that gets up to 22 city/28 highway MPG.*
There's also a sporty 3.0L V6 engine. It offers more power while also delivering an EPA-estimated 19 city/25 highway MPG.* You'll also get to choose between a pair of supercharged 5.0L V8 engines. The first one gets up to an EPA-estimated 17 city/22 highway MPG, while the second one offers an EPA-estimated 15 city/20 highway MPG.*
Range Rover Sport Hybrids
The
Range Rover Sport also offers two hybrid systems. First, there's a Mild
Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV). It features a 3.0L V6 engine and a
48-volt battery. This combination can deliver an EPA-estimated 19
city/25 highway MPG.*

While the MHEV powertrain gives you good fuel economy, the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) takes things to the next level. This system includes an efficient 2.0L 4-cylinder gas engine, a 105-kilowatt electric motor, and a 13-kilowatt battery. The Range Rover Sport uses this trio to get up to an EPA-estimated 31 combined MPGe.*
The PHEV powertrain is also easy to charge. You can plug it in overnight in your garage or hook it up to a rapid charger. With a 32-amp AC charging cable, your battery will be fully charged in just under three hours.
Efficient Features
To
maximize your fuel economy, the Range Rover Sport comes with a
Stop/Start system. It saves gas by turning off the engine when you're
stuck in traffic, then turning it on again when you start moving. You
can also flip on Eco Mode to get a more efficient performance. It
adjusts the throttle, gears, and climate control to conserve energy.
