Safety Features You Can Count On

Both SUVs are loaded with standard driver-assist systems. They share features such as:

Other systems exclusively come in one vehicle or the other. With more rugged sensibilities, the Defender is designed for its systems to cater to adventure seekers. With All Terrain Progress Control, that’s apparent. This low-speed cruise control lets you focus on charting the trail ahead.

The Discovery helps you park in a tight space with its Front and Rear Parking Aid. It also bumps up the alerts and visibility behind you with the Rear Traffic Monitor. If you want parking guidance in the Defender, you’ll have the wraparound views of the 360° Parking Aid.

To better manage the traffic on the road and heed traffic signs, both models are also available with Adaptive Cruise Control and provide the added awareness of Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Speed Limiter.

Plus, this SUV tows up to 8,200 pounds when properly equipped. It’s also available with Advanced Tow Assist —available with the Defender as well—to make backing up and parking your trailer a breeze.
